Intensive Modern Standard Arabic Program
Modern Standard Arabic and Classical Arabic are mostly the same, with only slight differences in phrasing. They share the same vocabulary, so those learning Modern Standard Arabic will easily understand Classical Arabic. Individual Arabic Courses
We offer personalized Arabic lessons, both intensive and non-intensive, taught one-on-one by experienced Palestinian teachers. You can choose to focus on Palestinian, Levantine, or Classical Arabic. Non-Intensive, Intensive, and Super-Intensive Arabic Courses
All Arabic intensive Programs are available at different intensities, the level of which will determine the frequency of classes as well as the level of immersion and out-of-classroom coursework.
- Non-Intensive Arabic lessons total 12 hours per week, with three hours of study three days a week. Learning occurs both in class and through daily interactions in Hebron. We recommend students interested in a long-term program (between 1 – 3 months) enrol in a non-intensive Arabic course.
- The Intensive Arabic course enhances previous immersion in the language and culture, offering 20 hours of instruction each week, with about four hours of language lessons per day, five days a week. Intensive Arabic courses include additional homework and out-of-classroom assignments.
- The Super-Intensive Arabic program offers a fully immersive experience with 30 hours of instruction per week, featuring five hours of daily language instruction, five days a week. We generally recommend super intensive courses for those enrolling in shorter programs (1 – 4 weeks), due to the larger study load.

1. Flexible Year-Round Intensive Arabic Courses
Intensive Arabic programs can be taken on a year-round basis. Each course has a duration of four weeks and students can continue on to the next level after passing a final exam and giving an oral presentation.
2. Intensive Study Abroad Programs
The Study Abroad Arabic immersion programs offer intensive courses, cultural activities, and trips for students looking to enhance their Arabic skills while gaining insight into Palestinian culture. Study in Palestine provides accredited Arabic study programs.
- Summer Intensive Arabic Programs
Study in Palestine offers an Intensive Arabic Study Abroad summer program, featuring intensive Arabic courses along with non-intensive Arabic and area study courses.
- Winter Intensive Arabic Programs
Study in Palestine offers Arabic Intensive Programs during the winter months for students looking to improve their Arabic. Participants can join accredited four-week sessions in December and January.
- Intensive Arabic Semester Or Year Programs

Assessment And Placement
All students, except complete beginners, take a written and oral language proficiency assessment on the first day. Teachers will determine placement based on performance and prior language study.
Staying With A Palestinian Host Family
Study in Palestine also offers international Arabic students the chance to stay with a Palestinian host family with whom they can practice their Arabic skills, learn more about Palestinian culture and experience daily Palestinian life.
Homestays are only guaranteed for female students and are subject to availability for male students. We recommend that you apply for the program of your choice as early as possible in order to secure a homestay.

How Do I Get A Visa To Visit Palestine?
Most of our international participants get a tourist visa for three months when they fly to Israeli airports or cross from Jordan to the West Bank.
Generally, no prior visa is needed for Americans, Canadians, and most Europeans in order to enter Palestine, but visitors must file for an ETA-IL (Electronic Travel Authorization) please refer to the visa exemption agreement for further information. Upon your arrival at the Israeli airports of Tel Aviv or Eilat, you will be granted a tourist visa that is valid for 90 days. This is sufficient for participation in Study in Palestine’s programs and will enable you to travel around Palestine and Israel easily.
Tel Aviv Airport Pickups
Study in Palestine staff can organize a taxi to pick you up at Ben Gurion Airport and take you straight to Hebron and the Center. This is the easiest and fastest way (about an hour, 60 km/37 miles) to get to us.
Additional fees apply to this trip, coming to about 150 Euros in total. Please inform us if you are interested in this option.
